Video: Portugal. The Man - "Modern Jesus"

portugal. the man

The five-man band out of Portland is at it again, having released their eighth album, Evil Friends, back in June of this year. After touring North America all summer, Portugal. The Man is happy to release the video for "Modern Jesus" off of their new album. The band worked with AG Rojas (known for previous work with Earl Sweatshirt, Jack White, Spiritualized, among others), the director of the video that compiled footage taken during their touring. The scenes are very basic and raw, ranging anywhere from banjo-pickin' and tap-dancin' in the South to booty-shakin' and gang-bangin' on the West Coast. The video showcases diversity among regions and cultures, but also unifies them with portrayals of destruction, death, and pain (cue Dr. Evil).Enough with the analysis, just watch it for yourself! *Spoiler alert* There's half a second of a live cow birth. You're welcome.[embed/]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8e1sSNsf44&feature=youtu.be[embed]
