Show Preview: Tiny Moving Parts, Take Care, Enta, and Kellam

error 1121 4Fall break is almost upon us, and what better way to celebrate the approaching week off with Tiny Moving Parts and a variety of other acts at Error Records!  This Thursday night, November 21, five bands will converge in Champaign to play a show priced at only five dollars.  That's only a dollar a band!  Start break early and get some feels out!Update: Unfortunately, Goliath had to drop the show, but that still leaves show-goers with a lineup of four fantastic acts!error 1121 5Kellam will be first to take the stage, bringing with them a whole mess of noodle soup.  The math-rock/post-hardcore group is from Northwest Indiana and comes fresh with a 6-song album they put out only two months ago.  They are new to Error Records, as well as the Champaign-Urbana area, so be sure to get there early and give them some love.error 1121 6Take Care, who is scheduled to follow, is a group whom you may recall from Pygmalion Music Festival back in September.  The local indie rock trio, which shares members with Barrowe, shared the stage with the likes of Major Lazer and Youth Lagoon, opening up festivities at The Highdive for the main event of the entire festival.  Now, the group is back by popular demand, and are sure to make a great addition to the star-studded lineup encompassing the evening. error 1121 2Enta is returning to Error after a mere two weeks' absence, but if you missed their show with Dowsing and Empire! Empire! (I Was a Lonely Estate), you are in for a treat.  The quartet, which features Sean Hermann of Skeletal Lightning fame, plays a unique brand of emo/screamo and post-rock that draws influence from a lot of European skramz bands.  The group is actually in the process of recording new material for both a new full-length LP and a split with a super top-secret band, both which will be released in 2014.  However, last time they played, the majority of their setlist was comprised of fresh tracks, and show-goers can expect the same of them come Thursday.error 1121 1Tiny Moving Parts, who has been on tour for well over a month at this point, is without doubt one of the most anticipated acts of the season in terms of underground bands coming through Champaign.  The emo/math-rock trio has played the area twice before this year, but continues to impress every time they show their faces.  Their lyrics touch on dealing with tough times and the nostalgia of childhood while their music bounces around as much as they do in their live performances, and over the past year, they have started to join the ranks of so-called "emo-revivalist" bands from the Midwest.  In fact, clips of their energetic and fun-filled set from Skeletal Lightning Fest back in April were included in a documentary about punk culture called Dither: The DIY Sound that has been shown in various venues across the Midwest.  That video was actually the thesis of a former U of I student.  A link to its bio on IMDb can be found here while a list of music used in the documentary, which features "Clouds Above My Head" by Tiny Moving Parts, can be found here. Also, Tiny Moving Parts is releasing a new 7'' single at Old Maid/Coffee With Tom through Skeletal Lightning at the show, so if you come out, consider giving that a spin! Also, for you Facebookers, an event page for the show can be found here.error-records
