10-4 flyerAfter Pygmalion ended, many of you may have asked yourselves, "what do I do with my life now?" Well, if it isn't already obvious, the answer clearly is to go to more shows! Word on the street is there's a rad show at Error Records this Friday night, and boy, do they have a juicy lineup for you! Come down and watch some wicked cool bands for only five bucks! Doors open at 7pm, and the show starts at 8pm.OratororatorFirst up for the night is one of Champaign's own: a new sludge band in town going by the name of Orator. The band, which features Tyler Alan Day of local hometown heavyweights Hometown Heavyweights, definitely brought the heavy when they last played Error on September 22nd, and are sure to do it again. Word on the street is they are working on a new demo, so there's something to keep your eyes peeled for!Check out Orator's Facebook page hereLucid Dreamslucid dreamsAfter Orator is Lucid Dreams, a progressive metal outfit coming all the way from Gurnee to tickle your fancy. With fiery grooves and face-melting licks, they are sure to make a lasting impression with their first trip down to the C-U area. Their vocalist, João Guassi Moreira, is actually a student here at U of I, a freshman in Psychology and one of Allen Hall's own! He had this to say about his band's upcoming show: "We're honored to be playing with such great bands, and we hope to impress a fresh crowd."  If you come to the show, you can slam with one of your fellow students!Check out Lucid Dream's Bandcamp hereGonzo Diablogonzo diabloAnother local act playing the show is Gonzo Diablo. The instrumental fantasy rock group played their first show about a year and a half ago, and they're still going strong, with a show coming up the following weekend in Charleston and a demo in the works as well. Look forward to some cool jams come time Gonzo Diablo takes the stage.Check out Gonzo Diablo's Facebook page hereMorality Crisismorality crisisUs show-goers have the pleasure of seeing not just one, but two touring acts this Friday evening. The first of these is Morality Crisis, who vow they will not rest until the great people of "Minnesconsin" set apart their differences and form one state. Describing themselves as "sh*trock," the three-piece brings with them a mix of chaotic, obnoxious, in-your-face alternative rampage, with tendencies ranging from sludge rock to death metal. The group, which has been together for a decade now, is wrapping up a tour of the Eastern half of the US of A, with one stop left after this show. Nonetheless, no need for worrying, they still will have enough leftover energy to crust up your night.Check out Morality Crisis' Bandcamp hereFrom Cities Abovefrom cities aboveWrapping up the Friday night at Error is Indiana metalcore outfit From Cities Above. If the level of brutality of the evening wasn't high enough already, these four metalheads are looking to make it even higher. They currently have their EP What's Passed is Past up for free download, but may have some new stuff in the works. Don't be shy! Come and throw down!Check out From Cities Above's Bandcamp hereError Records is a record store and all-ages music venue located just south of downtown Champaign along Neil Street.
