Dreams of Being Hip: Animal Masks

There are some things about being hip that stay and some that change with the times. Things that stay: photography, PBR, music, tattoos, bikes, etc.  Things that come and go. Among one of the newer trends is taking a picture of you wearing an animal mask.I just don't get it.  I don't see the meaning. Is it like, we're all animals on the inside? Because if you're wearing the mask, you're an animal that is human inside so that doesn't work.  I just can't think of a reason other than it kinda looks cool?Ok Matt, very funny, you found a few of them.  Ha ha.  I get it.  No.  You don't get it.  I found a lot of them.  Ok, so these people might be hipsters.  But these people, really put some time and effort into this.  Now this, is hip:  The color coordination, the suite, the mask, the brilliance.  This is a great animal mask picture.  I think everyone else can stop now.  Please.  It's not original anymore.  Unless you're doing it really cool like Zebra-Man up here, you're just doing what everyone else is doing without thinking about it.  And that is most certainly not hip.That's why this week's dream of being hip is to have an originality renaissance in the hipster community.
