Zola Jesus – “Avalanche (Slow)”

At the end of this summer, Zola Jesus will release her latest album, Versions. Versions is a compilation of songs from her last two albums with their gothic electronic sound being traded for string quartet arrangements by JG Thirlwell of Foetus and Manorexia. You can check out the album’s first track “Avalanche (Slow)” below. The album, which is set to release August 20th on Sacred Bones, will also feature a brand new track titled “Fall Back.” Fun fact: in addition to doing beautiful orchestral arrangements for Zola Jesus, JG Thirlwell also scores the Adult Swim television show, Venture Brothers. Who knew?
