Weekly Dance 7-27-15 - Deep/Future/House

Weekly DanceHey everyone, this is Weekly Dance for 7-27-15. Sorry for the delay, I meant to get this up over the weekend but I ran scarce on recording time! Doing a bit of a deep/future/house review, overall in the lower 120-125 bpm range. It seems like it's the new thing taking off after Big Room House's era oddly enough; here are some tracks that I like: [soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/177387346" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]Autumn Rowe - If I Don't Have YouStarting off with one of my favorites, this is Autumn Rowe's debut single into the EDM world "If I Don't Have You". I'm a little worried actually because I haven't seen anything else come out of this artist since this track came out; the production is very well done and the vocals Ms. Rowe adds are absolutely killer. It's a deepy, future housey track, but a little off the beaten path in terms of synthesizer choice. Definitely a little more fresh.  [soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/206892258" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]Pawl - Set My Heart On FireYet another budding artist, this one hails all the way from Stockholm, Sweden. This time it's the producer that's taking the spotlight with a layback, groovy as heck track with crisp, tasteful vocals throughout. I really want to know who sings this honestly, absolutely wonderful intonation and emotion going through the microphone in here. Looking forward to hear more from PAWL in the future. [soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/146736122" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]Dustycloud - SophieI had to include this guy in my list. This was my first introduction into Future House, honestly; this was the third guy I heard making Future House after Oliver Heldens' "Gecko" went big (The second was Tchami :P, still a goodie). But Dustycloud's style was a little different, a bit more on the electro end of it, but still possessing the characteristic twangy synth sound that defines Future House today. Who knew it would get so big? This is one of Dusty's productions from last year where he's still using a bunch of sound packs and pre-composed samples, but hearing the arrangement demonstrates that his skills are top notch. He still makes future house-y stuff today, but is deviating a little more to his electro styling. It's a sort of cool, Electro Future House, something like that! Someone to pay attention to for sure if you like that sort of sound! [soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/209674417" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]The Cube Guys - The RhythmAlright, we're deviating a little bit now to the housey sort of the spectrum. Not Big Room, Progressive, whatever floats the modern day boat, I mean house house. It crosses over well with Future stuff, with a little bit of funk flair thrown in the mix, but the beat is definitively different with a pumping bassline dominating the mix instead of a synthline. A catchy, subdued vocal line ties the whole session together very nicely; just how I like it, not too much in your face, but enough that you know it's there and that some sort of big sound is coming! [soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/144173964" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]Rene Amesz - Let MeGoing deeper (ha!) into a sound maybe not as popular here in the states (but definitely popular overseas), Rene Amesz weaves a wonderfully groovy, forward moving vibe with "Let Me". His ever skillful usage of percussive elements keeps the floor moving, and a subtle but controlled layering of effects powers the whole mix through. [soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/168109334" params="color=ff5500&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]Sander Van Doorn & Oliver Heldens - ThisHad to end it with one of my favorites, this is the collaboration between the big man himself, Sander Van Doorn, and Oliver Heldens. I remembering being scared when I saw the name on the track, since we had on one hand, a classic, and on the other hand, the new kid on the block. One was going a little more experimental, one was going a little more mainstream. Needless to say, I was extremely pleased with how this track turned out.Possessing a massive bassline and possibly one of the the biggest drops I've ever heard in a track, this was one of the interesting tracks to hear for the first time and is still one of my favorites to rip out. Somehow it still feels like a definitively house track, though the elements at first glance would say otherwise. Mix:[mixcloud https://www.mixcloud.com/Xender_Man/pizzafm-7-27-15/ width=660 height=208 hide_cover=1 hide_tracklist=1]
