Video: CocoRosie - "Gravediggress"
The freak-folk sister act CocoRosie released their album Tales of a GrassWidow in May of this year and just released a new video for the track "Gravediggress." The video was directed by CocoRosie's own Bianca "Coco" Casady and was shot over the course of several seasons on the landscapes of southern France. It features the unsettling titular Gravediggress (played by Mama Casady) who comes from the imagination of the also-unsettling clown. The characters seem to be facing both a physical and mental struggle of some sort, which includes the even more unsettling flopping around on a shore like a fish out of water and contorting on a chair in an abandoned building.
