Video: Blue Hawaii – “Reaction II”

 I'm not sure how big of a scene Southeastern Canadian Ambient Pop Duos is, but I would guess that Blue Hawaii are probably its chieftains. Composed of Alex Cowan and Raphaelle Standell-Preston, the band made their first big splash earlier this year with Untogether, their first full-length record. More recently released was the video for "Reaction II," the endcap track that brings the album to a soft close. The video features a girl in a big yellow raincoat wandering around in a cloudy, desolate dreamspace. On occasion she will lean back with her arms thrown behind her, palms up, and embrace the overbearing gloom that surrounds her. Happy Monday!
