Wicked Walls has already started on a debut LP, and tonight is the band's first show ever. It's history in the making, to be opened by Chicago shoegaze outfit Lightfoils, and Hank. spacey, electronic off-shoot Shitz0.

Sunday! (February 10)

Who: Umphrey's McGee, Death by StereoWhen: 9:00 pmWhere: The Canopy ClubCost: $27.50 in advance, $30 at the doorAges: 18+Facebook EventOne day, I was walking through downtown Des Moines with some friends, and I suddenly heard Africa's "Toto" in the distance. I couldn't believe my ears. Was Toto back and playing an outdoor concert to provide me with the best experience of my life? As we approached the stage, I still wasn't sure. I could've sworn Toto was done and over with, and I guess I was right. In front of us, playing for what seemed like thousands of screaming frat boys and modern hippies with hula hoops, was Umphrey's McGee, perfectly encapsulating the harmony-filled classic by America's legendary one-hit wonder. Perhaps one of the most popular jam bands today, Umphrey's McGee is back at the Canopy Club for a night the funnest fun you've ever funned.
