The Great Cover Up 2013 releases lineup

Below, you'll find the full lineup for The Highdive's Great Cover Up 2013, four days of local bands performing nonstop covers of influential artists, spanning all the styles you love and all the styles your parents loved and you were forced to sit through. But, The Great Cover Up isn't necessarily about the music; it's the warm, fuzzy feeling you get when you see your favorite local artists attempt to fully mimic the musicians they cover, from wardrobe to personality.2013 marks the 22nd year of the local tradition, where we've heard bands like Braid, Sarge, HUM, and The Poster Children cover R.E.M., Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, and Elvis, respectively. Last year saw everything from an exceptionally flamboyant Lady Gaga medley to a perfectly represented Tenacious D set, among Tool, The Jesus Lizard, LCD Soundsystem, and several others.While the bands to be covered remain a secret until the actual performance, it's always fun to make guesses. So, upon viewing the lineup, guess away, but I bet you'll be wrong. Someone should cover Asia and play "The Final Countdown" several times.
