Rakin' in the dough, Pizzapalooza, The beginning is nigh!
It's been a particularly crazy week, as we keep pushing for donations as we simultaneously prepare for broadcast. We've been working on programming goals, incorporating new students into our efforts and content, setting up a benefit show, and just being busy:
- Our Indiegogo is still going strong at $890 of our $2,000 goal. But, there are only 14 days left, so make sure you're sharing it with as many people as you can. Remember, that $2,000 is only a fraction of our total overhead costs. So don't forget about our donate button, too, if you don't want to go the crowd-funding platform route.
- Pizzapalooza: We have a benefit show at Mike n' Molly's set up for Friday, November 30. Our current lineup consists of Har-Di-Har, The 92s, Easter, Hank., and War Brides, which means it'll be the best darn show of the year, right? Right. Here's the Facebook event for more details.
- We've put up a couple playlists of new music since our last update. Check them out here and here.
- Also, make sure to check out a crayon-drawn recap of Sum 41's performance in Chicago last weekend. While Pizza FM won't play Sum 41 on the air, it would've been a shame if such a goofy night weren't captured in a crayon drawing.
- Our Weekly Mouthful this week features We Are The Willows. Watch them eat pizza and discuss apples and a whole bunch of other fun topics.
- SORF (the organization in charge of distributing funding amongst Registered Student Organizations) offered to fund up to 75% of our licensing costs, broadcasting console, and College Music Journal subscription, equaling a grand total of $2,322.75. That's HUGE for us, and we thank them a whole bunch of their support.
Hopefully, I haven't forgotten anything. Thank you all for your continued support of Pizza FM, and I hope you're just as excited as all of us to hear some sweet n' savory tunes finally come out of our (gnarly) website. Hopefully, you're just as excited as this penguin:
