New single: Nada Surf

Nada Surf's seventh studio album The Stars are Indifferent to Astronomy  is out January 24 on Barsuk, and the band just premiered its first single yesterday on Stereogum. You can download that single by providing your e-mail right here. According to a press release the record sees the same line-up Nada Surf has had for the past 15 years, with the re-addition of guitarist Doug Gillard (Guided by Voices, Death of Samantha); it was produced by Chris Shaw (Wilco, Brendan Benson, Elvis Perkins in Dearland and Super Furry Animals).

Before the LP comes out, it'll be available to stream on NPR's first listen on January 16, and once everything is out and all hunky-dory, the band is going on tour for a while with support from Australian duo An Horse.
