Jack White Rips on Black Keys Frontman

News broke on Friday about Jack White's custody dispute with his ex-wife, Karen Elson, who obtained a restraining order against White, and who she claims has also been threatening her in a series of e-mails. Recent reports say that White is countersuing Elson with allegations that she is still in love with him and that she lied about his violent nature.

Amidst this mess, details have leaked about Jack White's very real hatred for the Black Keys' Dan Auerbach through e-mails to Elson (TMZ spilled the e-mails for public view and they can be seen here). White wants to pull his kids out of the private school they are currently  enrolled in with Auerbach's kids. White writes in an e-mail to Elson, "My concern with Auerbach is because I don't want the kids involved in any of that crap ... That's a possible twelve f***ing years I'm going to have to be sitting in kids chairs next to that a**hole with other people trying to lump us in together." On multiple occasions, White has claimed that he has been "ripped off" by Auerbach. He adds, "[Auerbach] gets yet another free reign to follow me around and copy me and push himself into my world."

My hopes are that White's hatred toward the Black Keys frontman will spark a good, old-fashioned Scott Pilgrim vs. The World-style rock battle to end (and further publicize) the feud. In the meantime though, I'm keeping my eye out for a rebuttal statement from Dan Auerbach and a display of undying support for Jack White from our own Black Keys-hatin' Matt Shancer.
