Video: The Thermals – “The Sunset”

Photo credit: Misha VladimirskiyWatch out Spike Lee fans. For The Thermals’ new video, “The Sunset,” bassist Kathy Foster takes inspiration from Rosie Perez’s iconic dance to Public Enemy’s “Fight The Power”, which appeared in Lee’s 1989 movie “Do The Right Thing.” In addition to imitating Perez, Foster recreates a number of scenes from Rocky I and II, amounting to one darn empowering video. Seriously: watch this and you’ll feel like you can conquer anything. “The Sunset” can be heard on The Thermals' latest album Desperate Ground, which was released last month on Saddle Creek records.
