Video: Laura Gibson - "Down By the Riverside"

In an effort to support Oregon's Deschutes River Conservancy, the Deschutes Brewery began a recording series featuring musicians performing "river-themed songs" in a natural setting. In the latest installment, we listen to Laura Gibson and friends perform the traditional folk tune "Down By the Riverside," as they explore the most natural nature encounter-able - things like birds, cliffs, grass, water, rocks, etc. Everything was recorded outdoors, proving that lining your walls with the neighbors' trashed egg cartons might not be entirely necessary.Past featured artists include Blitzen Trapper's Eric Earley and Fruit Bats' Eric D. Johnson.
