Upcoming Album: Jack White's Blunderbuss

Jack White is one of the undisputed kings of modern rock, and it's somewhat confusing how he's gotten so successful with the White Stripes and Third Man Records but he hasn't released a solo record. So here it is, Jack Whites' debut Blunderbuss with a release date of April 21 on Third Man/Columbia.A recent press release quotes White as saying that Blunderbuss is...

"an album I couldn't have released until now. I've put off making records under my own name for a long time but these songs feel like they could only be presented under my name. These songs were written from scratch, had nothing to do with anyone or anything else but my own expression, my own colors on my own canvas."

You can check out the first single "Love Interruption" by clicking that little circle at the top of his website right here. It's almost anti-folk-ish in its presentation, and that clarinet is a pretty rad touch. Good job, Mr. White.
