Recap: CU Flea

Flea markets are pretty rad, in my experience. One time, I got a tiny action figure of Jesse Owens in a sprinting position, and I treasured it forever, until I lost it. Anyway, the CU Flea isn't your typical flea market. Essentially, it's a place where local buddies, acquaintances, and not-so-acquaintances can hang out, eat home-cooked chili, browse some merchandise from local artists (and others), and listen to some high-quality live music. The third Flea ever happened this past Saturday at Parasol Records, and while it wasn't packed wall-to-wall with sweaty, drunk kids, a decent number of respectful, music lovin' folk showed up throughout the afternoon to buy buttons, listen to the Twin Peaks soundtrack, and catch performances (and short stories about high school prom) by Fred Thomas of Saturday Looks Good to Me, Mazes, and Charles and the Gnarlies.
