New Music Tuesday - 6/16/13

What if every week, I got the physical copies of all 3 albums I listed? That'd be crazy. Yeah. Anyways...Soft Metals - LensesSoftMetals-Cove-Lenses-570x570Sometimes it's nice to remember the sound that synthesizers were first used to achieve. Soft Metals is back with their second big one on Amoeba Music, and it's pretty refreshing. I will admit, it is VERY 80s influenced, and it sounds very Crystal Castles-esque. But, it's still pretty cool to take a listen to. Listen to "Tell Me", a single from the album.Desert Stars - Habit Shacklesdesert-stars-habit-shackles-400x400Upon listening to the first 2 songs of this, I'm hooked. It's their debut album and it's something you could expect to play your high school girlfriend in 2005 (that means it's good). Listen to "Off The Cliff" on SPIN.Beach - In Us We TrusturlVery interesting stuff. Beach (aka B*tch) has her first LP coming out soon on Short Story Records. And, her music is more of a genre than an album. If the Cure had synthesizers, and were all one girl, they would probably release something like this. Preview some of the tracks here.More New Music Out Today:
