Ezra Furman goes solo

Ezra Furman is pretty well-known around these parts. He's a Chicago boy, frontman of Ezra Furman & The Harpoons, and he just happened to go to my Jewish day school (though he's five years my senior). But he does play Champaign-Urbana somewhat often. He just moved to San Francisco, but that didn't stop him from releasing a whole record's worth of solo material. The Year of No Returning is out on February 7 through is own record label Kinetic Family Recordings, and you can check out the first single of the album here on Consequence of Sound.
