A$AP Rocky calls out hip-hop homophobia

ASAP RockyA$AP Rocky has taken an unusually vocal stance against homophobia in hip hop. In an interview with Spinner, the rapper declared that the homophobia that has become commonplace in the genre would eventually lead to its downfall."I'm not saying that hip-hop needs gay rappers or anything," he said, "but they need to stop being so close-minded because that will just cause the genre to fail. Look at pop. Pop doesn't discriminate against people."A$AP's first album dropped in October 2011 and his new EP is expected to hit shelves in April 2012.
